The book
You Make Perfect Sense
by Sjoerd Joosten
Cover coming soon
Why do you keep doing the thing you promised yourself you would stop? Not because you are lazy or broken. Your behaviour is the last step of something that started much earlier. This book shows you the architecture underneath it, so you can finally see why you do what you do, and what you can do with that.

Walk into a meeting halfway through and you might see this. A man at the end of a big corporate table raises his voice, slams his hand down and walks out. The door is still swinging, and you have already decided who he is and how he is. Aggressive. Can't handle disagreement. Someone to keep an eye on. You saw ten seconds, and it felt like enough.
Imagine coming home and finding a puddle of water on your kitchen floor. You know straight away that something happened. The puddle is real, it is wet, and it deserves your attention. But nobody in their right mind would mop it up and consider the case closed. The puddle is not the explanation. It is the clue that points you towards one. With puddles, we all understand this. With people, we almost never do.
Once you start seeing yourself as a living system instead of a collection of separate problems, a surprising amount of self-judgement disappears. You stop asking why you can't just be more confident, and become curious about what makes confidence feel unsafe. You stop asking why discipline is so hard, and wonder which predictions make consistency so expensive. The questions get gentler. More importantly, they get more useful.
